Vice President Kashim Shettima has reassured Nigerians that the current economic hardships facing the nation are only temporary, expressing optimism that brighter days lie ahead under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In an Easter message that drew on themes of sacrifice, resilience, and triumph, Shettima acknowledged the challenges confronting citizens but emphasized the administration’s commitment to economic recovery, national unity, and long-term prosperity.
Reflecting on the significance of Easter, the Vice President said the season symbolizes hope and victory over adversity. “Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair. It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pain and of faith prevailing over fear,” he stated.

Shettima admitted that Nigeria is going through a difficult period but maintained confidence that the country would overcome its challenges through collective effort. “I remain confident that by our collective will, shared sacrifice and abiding faith in the promise of this nation, we shall triumph over whatever challenges beset us momentarily,” he said.
The Vice President called on Nigerians to remain patient with the ongoing reforms of the Tinubu administration, noting that meaningful national transformation requires endurance and shared responsibility. He stressed that the government’s policies are aimed at laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth and improved living conditions.
He also urged citizens to embrace unity and resist divisive tendencies, describing Nigeria’s diversity as a source of strength rather than division. According to him, national cohesion is critical to achieving the goals of peace, stability, and economic progress.

Reiterating the administration’s dedication to delivering lasting prosperity, Shettima assured Nigerians that the sacrifices being made today would yield positive results in the future.
“As we celebrate this season, let us renew our faith in Nigeria and in one another. Together, we can build a nation where hope is restored and prosperity is shared by all,” he added.
The message comes at a time when many Nigerians continue to grapple with rising living costs and economic adjustments, with the government urging continued support as it implements its reform agenda.
