Episode 6: The Truth

I turned around slowly.

No one was there.

But the whisper continued.

“You let me in.”

My phone buzzed again.

Another message.

“Daniel… don’t look behind you.”

My heart stopped.

“How do you know my name?” I typed.

The reply came.

“Because I’m watching through the camera.”

“What camera?”

Another message appeared.

“The one inside your apartment.”

My blood ran cold.

Then the final message came.

“Turn around slowly.”

Against every instinct, I did.

And that’s when I saw it.

Standing in the reflection of my TV screen.

The tall dark figure.

Right behind me.

The figure moved closer.

Slowly.

Its voice sounded like many voices speaking at once.

“You opened the door.”

The lights went out.

My phone fell again.

The last thing I saw before darkness filled the room was the clock on the wall.

It changed from 2:59 AM to 3:00 AM.

Then everything went silent.

The Next Morning

The police arrived after neighbors reported a door left open.

They found Daniel’s apartment empty.

No signs of struggle.

No broken windows.

Nothing stolen.

Just one thing.

A brown envelope on the floor.

And written on it were the same three words.

“DON’T OPEN THE DOOR.”

At exactly 2:13 AM that night…

Someone knocked on the door of the next apartment.

Knock… Knock… Knock.

The End
