My phone rang.
Unknown number.
I answered immediately.
A nervous voice whispered on the other side.
“Listen carefully. If he knocks again… do not answer.”

“Who are you?” I asked.
“I lived in apartment 3B before you.”
“That’s my apartment.”
“I know,” the voice said quietly.
“What is happening?” I asked.
The man hesitated.
Then he said something that made my blood run cold.
“It started exactly the same way for me.”
“Three knocks.”
“At 2:13 AM every night.”
My throat tightened.
“What happens if I open the door?”
There was a long silence.
Then the man replied softly.
“I did.”
The call suddenly ended.
At that exact moment—
Knock… Knock… Knock.
