I didn’t sleep that night.
The moment I dropped Mr. Obi at the airport, he gave me double the fare and said something I will never forget.

“Prominent Abuja Businesswoman Found Dead in Her Maitama Home.”
It was Mrs. Chioma Obi.
The report said she had died earlier that evening.
Hours before I picked up Mr. Obi.
My hands started shaking.
Because if the report was true…
Then whose perfume filled my car?
Who whispered my name?
And who… pressed down the seat beside Mr. Obi?
