Kwara Central Senator, Saliu Mustapha, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a formidable pillar of Nigeria’s democracy and a transformative leader guiding the nation through a critical phase of its development.

In a personally signed statement released over the weekend, the lawmaker commended President Tinubu’s leadership over the past three years, noting that his administration has initiated far-reaching reforms across key sectors of the economy. He emphasized that the President’s governance style reflects resilience, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to national progress despite prevailing domestic and global challenges.

Senator Mustapha, who holds the traditional title of Turaki of Ilorin, also highlighted Nigeria’s growing global relevance under Tinubu’s leadership. He pointed to the President’s recent engagement in the United Kingdom at the invitation of King Charles III as a landmark diplomatic achievement, noting that the visit reinforced bilateral relations and attracted investment commitments estimated at $1.51 billion, with prospects for job creation and economic expansion.

At the domestic level, the senator cited major policy initiatives under the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” including the unification of foreign exchange rates to enhance transparency, improvements in external reserves, and sustained investments in infrastructure such as roads, rail systems, aviation, and port modernization. According to him, these measures are strengthening macroeconomic stability and laying the foundation for long-term growth.

He further commended the administration’s social and economic interventions aimed at improving citizens’ welfare. Among these, he noted the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund to expand access to higher education, as well as agricultural reforms driven by the National Agricultural Development Fund to boost food security and support rural livelihoods.

Senator Mustapha offered prayers for the President’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health as he navigates the country through complex economic and political realities. He also urged Nigerians to remain supportive of the administration, stressing that unity, political stability, and collective responsibility are essential to achieving national renewal and positioning Nigeria as a respected player on the global stage.
