Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has reacted angrily to reports circulating on social media claiming that she had died in an accident.
The actress, in a video shared with her followers on Sunday, categorically dismissed the reports, stating that she is alive, safe and did not suffer any accident.
Kadiri’s clarification came after several social media pages reportedly began circulating claims about her alleged death, leaving fans and followers worried about her wellbeing.
Speaking in the video, the actress urged members of the public not to believe or share the reports, while appealing to her followers to report any social media account spreading the false information.

“Please note that I am alive. I did not have any accident, and I am safe,” she said.
The filmmaker expressed concern over what she described as the disturbing lengths some individuals go to on social media to spread false information about other people.

“I am alive!! Please help me report. Please, I’m begging you, help me report it!! Any page that carries such news,” the actress pleaded.
She further expressed her frustration over the situation, saying she could not understand why some people would deliberately spread reports wishing death on another person.
“I am really sad at the extent to which some people will go on this social media space to hurt and wish death on another person. I stay in my lane. Leave me alone. I beg you all. It’s really becoming tiring and sad,” she added.
The false report triggered concern among fans of the actress, particularly because celebrity death rumours can spread rapidly across social media platforms before the facts are established.
Kadiri’s direct response, however, has put the record straight and reassured her fans that she is alive and well.
