Senator Saliu Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central in the National Assembly, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the unity and continued progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the party’s 2026 National Convention held in Abuja.
The convention, which attracted top political figures and party stakeholders from across the country, saw the participation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other prominent leaders, underscoring its significance in shaping the future direction of the ruling party.

Speaking shortly after the event, Senator Mustapha described the gathering as a crucial moment for the APC to reaffirm its shared ideals and strengthen internal cohesion. He noted that the successful conduct of the convention reflects the party’s resilience and unity amid evolving political dynamics in the country.
“The convention has once again demonstrated the strength of our party and our collective commitment to national development,” he said, while commending party leaders and organizers for a well-coordinated exercise.

The lawmaker also congratulated the newly elected National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC), expressing optimism that the new leadership will provide the direction needed to advance the party’s goals.
He further emphasized that the APC remains focused on consolidating its internal structures and delivering on its promises to Nigerians through effective governance and people-oriented policies.

Senator Mustapha assured party faithful and supporters that efforts would be sustained to deepen unity within the party, stressing that cohesion remains essential for achieving lasting political stability and national progress.
