The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced April 30 as the final deadline for membership revalidation and fresh registration across the country, as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The party said the directive applies to both existing and intending members, stressing that compliance is mandatory for participation in its primary election processes.

In a statement issued in Awka on Thursday, the National Publicity Secretary of APGA, Dr. Ejimofor Opara, explained that the exercise is in line with Section 77(5) of the Electoral Act 2026, which requires all political parties to submit a comprehensive digital membership register to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Opara noted that only individuals whose details are captured in the party’s verified digital register will be eligible to take part in the primaries, either as aspirants, delegates, or voters.

“Failure to revalidate or register before the stated deadline shall render such persons ineligible to participate in any APGA primary election process,” he warned.

He urged party members and aspirants to take advantage of the remaining time to complete their registration through the party’s official website, emphasizing that the deadline would be strictly enforced.

According to him, no extension will be granted beyond April 30, as the party moves to ensure full compliance with electoral regulations and strengthen its internal processes ahead of the next general elections.

The announcement signals APGA’s early push to streamline its membership database and align with evolving legal requirements governing party administration in Nigeria.
