Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles deepened after a shocking 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, a result that has intensified fears of a potential relegation battle.

Despite coming into the match on the back of a positive week—including a hard-fought draw at Anfield and a confidence-boosting win over Atletico Madrid—Spurs failed to deliver when it mattered most. Interim manager Igor Tudor now finds himself under renewed pressure following the heavy loss in North London.

The atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was electric before kickoff, with thousands of fans lining the streets to support the team. Spurs started brightly and dominated large parts of the first half, even striking the crossbar twice. However, their inability to convert chances proved costly.

Just before halftime, Nottingham Forest seized the moment. Igor Jesus rose highest to head home from a corner, giving the visitors a crucial lead against the run of play.

Forest grew in confidence after the break and doubled their advantage in the 62nd minute. Captain Morgan Gibbs-White finished off a well-worked move after a dangerous run and assist from Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Tottenham’s hopes of a comeback faded late in the game when substitute Taiwo Awoniyi tapped in from close range to seal the victory, sending home fans heading for the exits before full time.

The final whistle was met with loud boos, as Spurs extended their winless run in the league to 13 matches. They now sit 17th on the table, just one point above the relegation zone.

For Nottingham Forest, managed by Vitor Pereira, the victory marks a vital step in their fight for survival, especially following their recent progress in European competition.
