President Tinubu announced that security efforts would be intensified nationwide, with a strong focus on dismantling armed groups threatening peace and stability. He commended Nigerian troops for successfully repelling coordinated attacks on military formations within the city.
As part of urgent measures, the President has approved additional military equipment and operational support. He also directed top security officials to relocate to Maiduguri to oversee response efforts firsthand, while emergency agencies have been deployed to assist victims.

The attacks, which took place on Monday evening, targeted crowded locations including a market, areas around a post office, and the entrance of a teaching hospital.
The Nigerian military has raised concerns that suspected militants linked to Boko Haram may have deployed multiple suicide bombers across the city. Residents have been advised to avoid crowded places and remain highly vigilant.
